our very own pumpkin patch

First we (and by we I mean Elijah) carved pumpkins...

...and then dressed up like pumpkins.

Yep, we had our very own Reynolds pumpkin patch this year.

Even Grandmom joined in the costume fun.

And there was trick-or-treating for the first time.  Our sweet friend Maddie let us traipse up and down her street with her. Aida shouted, "Trick-or-treating is fun, Mommy!"
When we got home the girls dumped their candy out in piles on the floor and the trading commenced (overseen by Daddy).  I remember those days, checking out the loot and bartering with siblings.

Too bad they've already investigated their candy stash (which thankfully is quite small) 3 times today.  I think they might be memorizing what they have left. Which means Mommy can't get away with stealing it.

Dang.

baby in a swing

This little Lu fills my life with joy. I thought I could share a bit of it with you today.

She always curls her toes like this. So cute.

from our family to yours

A happy, happy Monday to you, from our

(pigtail-sporting,
snuggle-giving,
sophisticated-hat-wearing,
English-paper-grading [and grading and grading and grading],
bonnet-clad,
laundry-basket-playing,
leotard-with-boots-attired)
family to yours.

(This one just might be my favorite.)

oh.my.goodness.

How cute is this?! I can't believe I got all 3 of them smiling at the same time!

I have all kinds of blog posts in the works, some in various stages of creation floating around blogger and others just floating around in my head. These 3 beauties keep me busy, though (not to mention the 4th little one we spend time caring for each day for a few hours), so they will be slow in coming. Sort of like everything else in my life right now. I'm okay with that - this is the particular season we are in. I thank God for it.

mudbaths

Some days you just need...
...to get good and muddy.
Am I right?

reason #7628 why I love my husband

Sophie wanted her pony to have a wedding dress (so it could marry the bunny, of course). Her brilliant daddy grabbed a paper towel, a roll of scotch tape, and - voila! - a wedding dress to fulfill any My Little Pony's wildest dreams.

These girls are pretty darn lucky.

love, love,...

...LOVE this girl.

Looking at these pictures totally snapped me out of my funk tonight. (Said funk was the result of cake layers breaking when I tried to turn them onto the cooling rack. Why, oh why must things stick to the bottom of the pan?...But...who really cares when I know I have these dimples to kiss?)
